Solano County consumers are to be charged a little more at the cashier starting April 1st, 2013.
The Solano County consumers effected will be those shopping in Vacaville, Fairfield and Rio Vista.  Other California cities are also changing their sales tax rates upwards.
Rio Vista’s measure O brings the 0.75 percent increase to raise $75o thousand annually.
Vacaville’s measure M jumps sales tax just 0.25 percent.  Fairfield’s Measure P raises sales taxes by one percent. It may bring the needed $13 million a year.
Vacaville is expecting $3.5 million annually from this sales tax increase.
Dixon, Vallejo, Suisun City and Benicia are not raising their sales taxes right now. California state sales taxes went down one percent last year.
